Mullaghmeen says farewell to the Clingen Family
Friday 26th September 1008.

The church bade farewell to the Clingen family, Barrie, Jeanette and children, on Friday 26th September as they left us to move to Crumlin where Barrie takes over the role of Pastor of the Crumlin Baptist Church.

On behalf of Mullaghmeen Baptist Church, gifts were presented to Barrie by David Burns, to Jeanette by Ivy Burns, and to the children, Victoria, Naomi, Sarah and Rachel by Judith Burns.  Audrey Holland also presented a Bible from the Woman's Fellowship and a bouquet of flowers to Jeanette.  Each of the presenters also spoke highly in appreciation of the work done by Barrie and Jeanette during their time with us and how they will be missed by everyone.

Colin McCaw showed a power-point presentation of Barries life, giving glimpses of his activities both inside and outside the church and some aspects of his talents on the football field as a sportsman.  Musical items and messages in song were rendered by some of the younger members of the church.  Pastor Jim Smyth brought greetings  from the Crumlin Church and Pastor Alistair Quigley gave the closing message.  Afterwards a sumptuous supper was provide by the Ladies of the church.
Barrie, Jeanette, and their family will be sadly missed at Mullaghmeen. We wish them well!  May the Lord richly bless them at Crumlin and Barrie in his ministry in corner of His vineyard.

He will never fail us, He will not forsake:

His eternal covenant He will never break:

Resting on His promise, what have we to fear?

God is all-sufficient for the coming year.
